Legal Expertise
Following her graduation from law school and successful admission to the Bar in 2002, Linda embarked on a distinguished legal career. Initially, she worked as an associate attorney at several prominent law firms in Southern California, where she specialized in complex legal matters spanning tax, estate planning for high-net-worth individuals, business law, and real estate law.
Subsequently, Linda transitioned to the public sector, serving as a Deputy City Attorney within the Departmental Counsel division of the Long Beach City Attorney's Office. During her ten-year tenure, she continued to focus on areas of law aligned with municipal government functions. Her responsibilities included handling transactional matters, conducting administrative hearings, and providing invaluable legal counsel to city departments and committees. Her areas of expertise extended to matters such as procurement, contracts, public works construction, land use, real estate, grants, resolutions, ordinances, ethics, the California Brown Act, and the California Public Records Act.
Before forming Serva Law Group, Linda held a prestigious role as legal counsel within the Space Acquisition Law Division of the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate at the Space Systems Command (SSC), a field command of the United States Space Force located at Los Angeles AFB, California. In this capacity, Linda brought her extensive legal expertise to bear on a wide spectrum of issues and challenges arising within the realms of contracting, acquisition, and procurement. Her responsibilities encompassed contract formation and administration, fiscal law, technical data, ethics, FOIA compliance, claims resolution, disputes, security and classified information matters, facilities management, protection of government rights and property, and other related legal domains. Additionally, Linda served as the primary Patent Attorney at SSC, managing all aspects of intellectual property, including patent invention disclosures and trademark issues.
